Two. My sweet baby girls have been blessing our lives with their smiles and sweet souls for two whole years now and while it seems to have flown by, it also feels like they have been in our world forever. There aren’t words to describe how deeply grateful I am for these two amazing humans, there never will be. They have changed me, they have taught me to grow in all ways possibly, and they have made my life so full of love and laughter and more sunshine than I ever thought possible. Being their mother is my dream come true.
Annie, my fire child. You are strong, passionate, and so so loving. Your smile lights up the whole room and your giggles make our home come alive. You protect your sister with all that you have and are the bossiest big sister in town. You are a little chatter box, and I love hearing you try new words. Your favourite thing is reading stories and repeating the words you hear mommy say. You’re starting to say full sentences and it might be the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. Your favourite sentence is “What’s that noise?!” and you love to watch football with dada and yell “TACKLE!” and “TOUCHDOWN!” Your love for your fur siblings is the most endearing thing to watch, you love to feed the dogs cat food, and they love you so much for it. You love to rough house with dada and make him laugh so much. I want to spend every moment with you, my little Annie goose, I love you so much.
Sybelle, my sunshine girl. You are quiet, sweet, independent, yet fierce all at the same time. Your presence is calming and brings us so much joy. You are thoughtful and helpful, and you love to take care of your sister, your dada and I. If we are eating, you always make sure to offer us more food, and insist we eat it when you offer. You remind me of your great grandmother who always made sure everyone had more than enough to eat. You are slowly starting to say more words, and your best word yet has been “Annie!” You love to say sister’s name, but your favourite word to say is “broke” when you furrow your little eyebrows and notice something has been broken, or “moon” when you see the moon in the sky. You are so quiet, yet when you read stories to yourself out loud, you let out this huge reading voice that always makes me laugh. You love when dada is around and always want him to “spin” and dance with you. You make our house so full of sunshine, little Belle, I love you so much.
This year will bring us many more memories, a new baby sister, and lots and lots of learning. I know it will be yet another incredible year of watching you grow, I can’t wait to learn with you. I love you both so so much my sweet baby girls.
Love, your mama.
